The Swarco Raiders are one of the most successful teams in Austria and Europe. The Raids were founded in 1992 and have won three Austrian Bowls and three Eurobowls. Their home stadium is the modern Tivoli Neu and the spectacular show around the game attracts some of the biggest crowds in Austria and Europe. But they not only cater to the fans in the stadium but also provide a professional stream from all of their home games with RaidersTV that is viewed by thousands of fans all over the world.
The Raiders not only have a big first team but also a very large number of preps players starting at young age. They have been one of the best youth programs in Europe and succeeded in developing their own players from young age to their first team. Due to the strict transfer regulations in Austria it is paramount for the teams to develop their own players to the top level. The Raiders have been able to build up several of their own players to become the first “local heroes” for their fans. Players like Florian Grein, Andreas Pröller or Andreas Hofbauer received the same interest as their star – import players.
